GAME PREVIEW

Matthew Stafford brings an efficient Rams offense to Denver — but Los Angeles may have to do it without its most productive receiver.

Los Angeles enters Sunday night at 1-1 averaging 385.5 yards per game and 6.59 yards per play, both top-six marks through Week 2, even though the Rams have scored only 17.5 points per game. Stafford has thrown for 482 yards and four touchdowns at 8.61 yards per attempt.

The biggest variable is the Rams' receiving corps. Puka Nacua is doubtful after missing practice all week with a hip/groin issue, while Colby Parkinson is questionable with a knee injury. EdgeLine's projected table therefore uses Davante Adams, Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith at wide receiver, with Terrance Ferguson and Tyler Higbee at tight end. Jordan Whittington is available after progressing to a full practice Friday.

Denver is also 1-1, but its offense has been far less efficient through two games. The Broncos are averaging 284.0 yards per game, and the backfield changes again this week: Jonah Coleman is out with an ankle injury, while J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey finished the week as full participants with no game designation. Harvey returns after missing Week 2.

What to Watch
  • The Rams have produced top-six yardage and yards-per-play numbers without converting that efficiency into points. With Nacua doubtful, the question is whether Stafford can maintain that explosive profile through Adams and a reshuffled group of pass catchers. Denver enters with only 284.0 yards per game and a 26.1% third-down rate, putting more pressure on the Broncos to sustain drives.

What to Watch
  • Los Angeles has been strong at limiting scoring and overall efficiency, allowing 16.5 points and 4.71 yards per play, but its pass rush has produced only 1.0 sack per game with a 2.94% sack rate. That gives Bo Nix a potential path to cleaner pockets, but the Broncos still have to solve a Rams defense allowing just 280.5 yards per game.

What to Watch
  • Stafford's 8.61 yards per attempt and 10.05 air yards per attempt show how aggressively Los Angeles has attacked downfield. Nix is coming off a 288-yard Week 2 performance, but the season-to-date matchup asks Denver to generate offense against a Rams defense that ranks seventh in both yards allowed and yards per play allowed.

What to Watch
  • Los Angeles has essentially split the rushing workload between Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, and both have been efficient: Williams is at 5.48 yards per carry and Corum at 6.05. Denver's backfield is more injury-driven this week. Coleman is out, Dobbins is cleared after a hip issue, and Harvey returns from the hamstring injury that kept him out in Week 2.

What to Watch
  • Nacua's likely absence changes this entire section. Adams becomes the established centerpiece, while Mumpfield and Smith move into larger projected roles. Whittington is also available after missing Week 2. Denver counters with Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton, while Marvin Mims Jr. is questionable with a foot injury and is not included among the three projected receivers above.

What to Watch
  • Parkinson is questionable after missing practice with a knee injury, so the Rams table uses Ferguson and Higbee. Ferguson finished the week as a full participant after an ankle issue. If Nacua is also inactive, the tight ends could become more important to how Los Angeles redistributes targets behind Adams.
